A Blooming Bouquet and Merci, Merci

My new botanical series is finally complete - a bouquet of Alpine wildflowers collected on our trip to Italy this summer - all ready to be posted in my shop...

During the past two weeks, I have been very busy finishing and photographing this series, as well as starting another couple of series (more photos to come soon!), and I have been very busy with my children (3 new playgroups, pediatrician visits, etc.) so I am a bit behind on my blogging. But I do have a few bits of news to share.

First, I would like to give a big thanks (or "Merci!") to Lily Descazeaux from Paris, who writes the lovely Les Carnets Du Design blog for mentioning my work in her post about the color red or "Rouge". Her art and design blog is written in French and English, and Lily does a wonderful job of finding beautiful creations around the world. What a nice discovery and I was so flattered to read that she enjoys my work too. Thanks again Lily!

Secondly, thank you to Alex in Brisbane, Australia for her post on my "London" collage which she purchased. She did a great job of taking photos of my collage in her studio - I think much better than the photos in my shop! I like how she captured the textures and "object" quality of the collage. Alex is an artist herself, and has recently opened an Etsy shop of her own. Alex's shop features limited edition giclee prints on board of her very detailed, colorful drawings of animals. Thanks Alex and lots of luck and success with your new shop!
